The NEO Book Club, or the Not Exactly the Oprah Book Club, meets once a month from September through June to discuss a different book each month. They meet on the 3rd Sunday of the month, usually at 5pm for 90 minutes or so.

Odyssey Bookshop Events

The Odyssey Bookshop is the largest independent, locally owned bookstore in the area. We proudly feature a wide selection of new, used, antiquarian and bargain book and more than 100 author events and book signings annually, more than any other venue in western Massachusetts. Pleasant St / Amherst Cinema

1 organization, 2 local non-profit theaters.
The core of the programming at both cinemas is first-run independent film and classic repertory. They show over 125 superb films each year, including many first-runs not considered by commercial cineplexes. Film selection is made in-house, by their programming experts. There are also many film-related events throughout the year. Check their website for more details.

CineStudio in Hartford, CT

Out for Reel
Cinestudio is an independent film theater located on the campus of Trinity College in Hartford, CT. The theater is a single-screen venue that seats approx 500. It is known for its large screen, 70 mm film projection capability, and classic movie palace atmosphere, with gold screen curtain, balcony seating, and gold lion insignia.
