"Hello everyone!

We will be resuming meditation in early February.

     Schedule:
     6:45-7:00pm: arrive, tea, chit-chat
     7:00pm: doors close and meditation begins
     8:15pm: meditation concludes

Please remember to bring your own cushions if you can. And if you'll be a first-timer, see below for the two meditation techniques we practice each week. The group meets in the shrine room in my apartment, but I'd prefer not to post my address or phone number on the web. So, if you are interested in attending, please email me for directions. If you'd like, I can also add your email address to a list of past participants and will contact you to let you know when the group will not be meeting."

ABOUT THE GROUP: Join us for a weekly queer men's mindfulness meditation group. No prior meditation experience is needed and people of all faiths and wisdom-traditions are welcomed. We have a few cushions and blankets to share, but please consider bringing your own sitting cushion or pillow.

We practice basic mindful breathing (known, in the Tibetan Buddhist traditions, as shamatha) in three short sittings and finish our practice with a short "sending and taking" meditation (called tonglen). For more information on these practices, visit these websites:
